Joined Hayleys Group in 1969. Appointed to the Board in 1998. Chairman and Chief Executive of Hayleys PLC since July 2009. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (UK). Honorary Consul of United Mexican States (Mexico) to Sri Lanka. Committee Member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Council Member of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon. Member of the Advisory Council of the Ceylon Association of Ship’s Agents. Recipient of the Best Shipping Personality award by the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Excellence Leadership Recognition - Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.

Mr. Sarath Ganegoda
Executive Director

Rejoined Hayleys in March 2007. Appointed to the Group Management Committee in July 2007. Appointed to the Board in September 2009. Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and Member, Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Australia. Holds a MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Worked for Hayleys and Diesel & Motor Engineering Co. between 1987 and 2002, and as an Executive Director of the latter. Subsequently held several senior management positions in large private sector entities in Sri Lanka and overseas. Has responsibility for Strategic Business Development and the Consumer sector.

Mr. Chandev W. Abhayaratne

Bachelors' Degree majoring in Business Management and Economics from Washington College, Maryland, USA. Over 15 years of working experience, including 06 years in the financial sector in various companies in Sri Lanka. He was the CEO of a BOI Telecom Company - a Joint Venture between US and Thai corporations. Prior to returning to Sri Lanka, was employed as a Senior Financial Services Officer at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. His technical knowledge in the engineering fields that Fentons operates in is supported by formal training both in Sri Lanka and abroad.

Mr. Sajeewa Karunatilaka
Group Chief Executive Officer

Joined Hayleys consumer sector in 2014. Appointed to the boards of Hayleys Consumer and Hayleys Electronics Lighting in June 2014. Holds a MBA from postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenepura. Worked at DIMO and Schneider Electric prior to joining Hayleys. Chairman of the power and energy sector at Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Appointed to the boards of Fentons Ltd, Energy Net, Next Gen Asia and Fentons Smart Facilities in 2016 April and has responsibility as the Group CEO for Fentons group.

Mr. C.W. Abhayaratne

Mr. C. W. Abhayaratne joined Fentons Limited in 1964 at the age of 19 and learning the business from the bottom to the top, he took over as Managing Director in 1986. After leading the diversification of the Company into the telecommunications industry in the late 1970's, Mr. Abhayaratne oversaw the rapid expansion and further diversification of Fentons in the ELV industry covering Fire Alarm, UPS, Network solutions, Security, PA and SMATV systems. He has been a leading figure in the construction industry having held key posts in the Specialist Constructors Association and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce since the mid 1980's.

With the incorporation of Energynet (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Abhayaratne was elected as Managing Director and in 2005 was nominated as the Chairman.

Mr. Ruan W. Abhayaratne
Director – Group HRD, Legal & Administration

Bachelors’ Degree majoring in Sociology from Washington College, Maryland, USA, and Post Graduate Diploma in Business & Financial Administration from ICASL.
He is completing the National Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Personnel Management of Sri Lanka.
He has over 10 years of experience in the HR field in blue chip listed companies in Sri Lanka. He was appointed HOHR in 2010, and was appointed to the Board of FENTONS Limited in 2012.
